Vetren Energy were asked to design a bespoke on-grid/off-grid solution to run and maintain a 22 acre estate.
The only solution for this type of requirement/project would be via the Victron route.
With 120 x 445w Solar panels on a ground mount system supplying a bespoke Victron ESS system with 210Kw of battery storage.
The main Victron system will store and supply 4 key areas of the estate;

Main house
Amenities
Providing key grid and battery storage connection with full transfer from ESS to mains if required.

The system also has been designed to have the ability for generator backup (up to 125KVA)

Looking for a solution to reduce energy usage during milking periods, Vetren energy designed a 25Kw Solar PV system along with 11.6Kw of battery storage. With milking predominantly being out of sunshine hours the system can store excess power in-between milking and supplying everyday usage.
Typically, we find energy providers are not interested in buying back excess or generated power below 30Kw and thus battery storage helps to buffer excess generation with demand.
With battery storage we recommend starting with the manufacturers minimum (Three phase systems require a minimum of 2 batteries). and to monitor usage via the App or online portal.

Vetren Energy were tasked to replace 7-year-old burnt out and damaged inverters.
After contacting the original installation company and manufacturer we found out both had disappeared into the unknown!
the Vetren team found a replacement solution that replaces like for like inverter size but increases the performance by a minimum 10% uplift.
After missing out on nearly a year's generation the farm now has the ability to continue claiming the original FIT deal without any new installation compromise.

Vetren Energy built a bespoke Victron ESS system to provide full off grid availability to run a complete farming set up including two houses a large cold store and commercial dryer and heating system.
Powered via 100Kw of solar array the Victron ESS system delivers up to 150amp per phase (Three Phase) supply. Whilst having the ability to manage a full loading on the power requirements (70-100Kw) all from battery storage whilst being maintained via the solar array.
The system is also backed up via a generator on auto start in the event of low power (SoC) to provide back up to the battery storage.
